There's more character development. You get more insight to the girls. Somehow they all become best friends with their heart to heart.
The scenes of this book seemed all over the place. The were not fluid. I scanned quite a bit, skipping to the more interesting scenes. A lot of the questions by the end were still not answered! Other than fickle America finally choosing one of the boys, there was no resolution. We do know why both the North and South are attacking, but after the final scene it seemed like the rebels were a done deal. Yet nothing was explained. So what happened with the Southern rebels?
Overall, I felt let down. It could have been so much more.
